The Lake Elmo MN real estate area is located about 15-20 minutes to the north east of St. Paul and just a bit north of Woodbury, another highly desirable community. Not too long ago, the city of Lake Elmo was primarily farm land and still has a much more rural feel than many other developments around St. Paul.

The idea is that this set aside land will one day resemble the original landscape of the area before being settled in the mid-1800's. Already, if you spend a little time looking, you can find fox, weasels, wild birds including pheasants, woodpeckers and cardinals, plus deer and other small wildlife.
This area is proving very attractive to many home buyers, with Lake Elmo homes being built and sold quicker than many other parts of Minnesota, even though average and median home prices tend to be quite a bit higher than that of the surrounding cities and state as a whole.
